Dr. Kristen Garubba is a licensed marriage and family therapist who works with a variety of populations: children, teens, and adults.  She takes a special interest in trauma, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, cancer patients and loved ones,  fertility issues, complex PTSD, as well as family relational issues.

 

Kristen uses a variety of treatment approaches, including CBT, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and EMDR.

 

She is an adjunct professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and at Cal State Fullerton. She supports Master's Students in their journey towards becoming therapists and supports technique and skill building. She teaches graduate students at the Master's and Doctorate levels about the techniques and skills needed as they train to become therapists in the field.

 

Kristen brings with her long-standing experience in the field and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate in Educational and Counseling Psychology both of which are from Argosy University.
